The Process

Starting therapy doesn't have to feel overwhelming.

I know that reaching out for support can feel like a big step — especially if you're nervous, unsure what to expect, or have had difficult experiences in the past. Here's exactly what you can expect when you work with me.

The Journey

Your journey, step by step.

  1. Reach Out

Book a time on my calendar.

Choose a time that works best for you and book your consultation directly on my calendar—it’s quick and easy. If you don’t see a time that fits your schedule, feel free to call or email, and I'll gladly find one that does.

  2. Free Consultation Call

A brief 10–15 minute phone call to make sure we're a good fit.

This is a low-pressure conversation — not a therapy session. You can ask me anything about my approach, experience, or what to expect. I'll ask a few questions to understand what brings you here.

  3. Your First Session

We take time to get to know each other.

The first session is different from ongoing therapy. We'll explore your background, what you're experiencing, and what you're hoping to achieve. You don't need to have it all figured out — just show up as you are.

  4. Building the Work Together

We set goals and create a plan that fits your life.

Based on what we've learned together, we'll identify goals and begin the therapeutic work. This is always collaborative — I'll check in regularly to make sure the pace and approach feel right for you.

  5. Growing & Flourishing

Ongoing sessions, adjusting as you grow.

Therapy isn't a destination — it's a process. We'll continue working together for as long as it's helpful, adjusting our approach as your needs evolve. When you're ready to wrap up, we'll do that together too.

Let's clear up a few things.

Myth

Therapy is only for people with serious mental illness.

Reality

Therapy is for anyone who wants to grow, heal, or simply have a space to process life. You don't need a diagnosis to benefit.

Myth

Seeking therapy means something is wrong with me.

Reality

Reaching out for support is one of the most self-aware things a person can do. It takes courage — not weakness.

Myth

Therapy will take years before I see results.

Reality

Many clients notice meaningful shifts within the first few sessions. Every person's timeline is different, and that's okay.

What to expect from our sessions.

What if it's not the right fit?

Not every therapist is the right fit for every person — and that's completely okay. If at any point you feel like a different approach or therapist would serve you better, I'll help you find one. Your wellbeing is always the priority, even if that means working with someone else. You deserve the best possible care.
